She served as a counselor for individuals and groups, with an emphasis on support for crime victims, supporting recovery from trauma, personal growth and resilience.
Jeanette has also served as a speaker, judge, facilitator and volunteer for writer's conferences to include the Border Book Festival, Pikes Peak Writer's Conference and Whidbey Writer's Conference.
She studied at the University of Iowa's summer writing workshop. In addition to her primary interests in non-fiction, she also has strong interests in film and the arts.
